I think it a stuning car, totally green (it's exactly what the planet needs now on these days), aerodinamic without losing interior space, great style, sporty, good gravity center, low weight, great technology. The AMG 63 is a better car and more pleasing to the eyes both inside and out. But it has those wrap around seats and I drive long distances. The CTS V is more comfortable. The dealer noticed my discomfort and tried selling me a S63 AMG sedan but that was a bit beyond my price range. If I lose 50 lbs, I will try it out again. The CTS-V vs the C63. CTS 0-60 4.3 AMG 4.5 Quarter mile. CTS-V 12.4s @ 114mph AMG 12.6 @ 112.3.(My personal best was 12.1s@114.3mph) This info is from a road test. So the CTS-V is slightly faster but the C63 is brilliant in every way. I will never in my life exchange my AMG for a CTS-V or any other performance sedan for that matter. You just dont get the same quality from other cars! But everyone has there own choice! :) AMG 4 life!

Lets look at it for what it is - a relatively cheap (£14k for a bike engined or £20k for an Impreza engined) kit car - which - after having seen one this weekend, is very nicely prepped and assembled. The bike engined one weighs around 550kgs.. so add maybe 100kg for the Scoob engine. Thats an easy 500bhp per metric ton and would easily embarrass most £150k+ supercars. Practicality?.. who cares? go buy a diesel Ford Focus dullards...

I guess if they use lithium iron phosphate cells which are heavier than other lithium chemistries then 220kg is not unrealistic. still disappointing compared to for instance ariel atom at less than 500kg. it's just not good enough for a vehicle that should be extreme. it can be done better. fiber wheels, much narrower (you don't need the width when the car is lighter) lighter disc brakes again because of lower weight. and then less batteries, and higher density. no more than 300kg car mass

That is true for performance, however for milage its slightly different. In order to get the large 300KM per charge, the amount of batteries required will be quite large. If the chassis is 180Kg, and we assume the motor and other accessories is about 100Kg, then the batteries weigh around 220kg which seems to be about right.

Yea, that's really good. I don't like the look of it but I do like how they've chosen to do what should have been don long ago: optimize the vehicle using aircraft construction techniques to reduce weight. The 30 minute recharge is pretty good but I think a few others have done that. Too bad the common man won't get his hands on these though...

Very clear that the motorcycle has the best acceleration. However, the jet obviously has the highest top speed due to...the jets. The sports car is a mix of both worlds, but doesn't beat either of them at what they're best at. The bike blew both of them away at first just because it's so light. I'm a rider myself.

We are. As a matter of a fact we are leading in the technology with Tesla motors, the Tzero and SCC Ultumat areo electric. SSC's PR says they have developed a new EV platform, known as All Electric Scalable Platform. I've seen a test done by TopGear on BBC of McLaren F1 vs Veyron. The F1 acceleration is immense. The Veyron, however, has a better top end. How does this translate on an a race track you might ask? I don't know a whole lot of road course that has tons of straight ways where you can capitalize on your 255 mph speed. I'd bet my house for the F1 to race against Veyron on the real road course with capable race drivers.

Unfortunately F1 cars are not that *sick* anymore. I think that McLaren had 850 hp - 900 hp (3.0-litre V10) and a mass of ~600 kg. Today they are running 2.4-litre V8's and thus less power. Overall lap times are still almost equal (or even a bit faster?) due to better aerodynamics and tires.

I don't think so :) Bugatti Veyron was actually quite "slow" on Nûrburgring. It's just too heavy to corner fast. Veyron's record time is 7:40 while e.g. Ferrari Enzo has 7:25. These can be found on Wikipedia.

Maybe i should excercise a few 100 laps to make a knowlegde with these cars. Also you have to look to his lap time: is slower with about 7 seconds than one lap during the race, if i remember correct to the 2002 lap times. 1:31:2 for these cars is just for to warm up the engine and the tires.

This was the last year of the Supra they were on top of its class from 1993-1997. Once the 5th gen corvettes and the LS1 Camaros came out then thats when things changed. Also if you are putting it all on this one test then you do not know anything about the Supra. It gets times lower than 5 seconds for 0-60 and have gone as low as 12.9 for the 1/4 mile mainly averaging 13.5.

The stats you cite as benefits of diesel are either unexceptional (130 hp, 300 Nm torque, good towing capability, can cruise at 90 mph, 28 mpg) or wrong (diesel costs 20% less than regular gasoline, burns cleaner).
