I just bought Clara's cookbook. In addition to good tasting, simple recipes, there's a lot of wisdom in this book as well. Even in these tough times, we're pretty fortunate compared to those that lived in through the 1930's.. She reminds me of my great-grandmother, who used to be able to make a great meal from practically nothing.

well, very nice to find such things here on youtube. It looked really tasty, though I'd change it a little bit. If you start with the sausages (doesn't matter if it's hotdogs, wieners, or whatever), you already have some tasty fat in the pan. Once the sausages are brown, take them out and go on like Clara did. You won't need that much oil then and the potatoes will receive a little more yummi flavor. It also workd well without onions, if you don't like them (like me ;) ) great video

@ mthomson06 nah it is General Tsos chicken though there is more then one to make this and here in San Francisco have had it two ways, I have also had it the way you are used to seeing it where you have battered chicken covered in sauce and seasame seeds, but also had it in the style prepared here stir fry with vegetables and very hot pieces of pepper. Both are good but like this version more since you really dont need to deep fry the chicken and you still get the hot nature of the dish.

I don't think just because you're chinese you can't speak English well. It's true that it's very hard for older people to learn to speak English perfectly, but that because they are so accustomed to Chinese (which has very different pronunciation system than latin derived languages) that their tongue will leave an accent.
